Many homeowners elect to engage in home improvement projects during the spring and summer seasons. This is because many people want to get outdoors and paint their home, or replace a tile on the roof. These seasons provide some of the best types of weather for these particular home improvement projects. However, there is another time of the year in which you can perform various home improvement projects. That is in the winter. This is considered the “off” season for home improvement tasks, and can prove to be one of the best times of the year to actually indulge in these tasks.
If you are interested in performing home improvement projects in the winter, you will find that you can indulge in some great deals! Most home project supplies are drastically discounted during the winter season. You can purchase paints, painting supplies, garden supplies, home improvement tools, and power tools for much less in the winter than you can in the seasons of spring and summer. This can open up numerous possibilities for you as far as home projects are concerned during this time frame.
One of the first projects that you can pursue in the winter season is home organization. There are many different home improvement projects that surround the concept of home organization. Installing modular closet organizers, shelving, and other types of organizational systems in the home may prove to be extremely beneficial. Not only can these home improvement projects be done indoors, you can save a lot of money by purchasing the supplies to complete these projects in the winter.
A great number of people today are becoming more aware of the importance of being healthy. However despite taking food supplements, getting the right amount of exercise, and having a healthy diet, there are still times when you catch flu and colds.
The viruses causing flu can be treated using antibiotics but there are also instances when the antibiotics don’t work effectively. If you want to use alternative methods to lessen the flu symptoms like upset stomachs, read on.
What is flu? It is also called influenza and is a contagious infection of your respiratory tract. It can be transmitted through the air you breathe when someone with influenza sneezes or coughs out. The symptoms are similar to that of colds including dry cough, sore throat, aching joints and muscles, fatigue, infrequent nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and upset stomachs.
If you’re infected with the influenza virus, the symptoms will not appear immediately. It would take about 1-2 days of incubation until the symptoms appear. After about three days, some of the symptoms may subside but it will totally disappear within ten days. Fatigue and coughing may continue for another two weeks or so.
If you have flu, you will not feel like eating anything because you will find food tasteless. If you want to address your upset stomach caused by the flu, you can try the following:
• Chicken Soup - for many years now, chicken soup has been used to ease flu symptoms. The soup contains garlic that can boost your immune system. It may even reduce the pain that you feel. When preparing the chicken stock, don’t forget to add leeks or onion, celery, and of course, the garlic.
• Vitamin C - make sure that you get plenty of vitamin C. You can eat fruits high in vitamin C or you can take vitamin C supplements.
• Echinacea - according to studies, Echinacea can reduce the symptoms of flu especially if you take it as the flu begins
• Andrographis - if you don’t want to experience an upset stomach, make sure that you take Andrographis to help stimulate your immune system and reduce fever.
• Elderberries - way back during Hippocrates’ time, elderberry has been used to suppress influenza growth. It is a time tested alternative.
Today I’ve come to one simple decision. Taking flight on a commercial airliner is disagreeable in these days. At once, just so you recognize, I’m not picking at first-class or affronting the sizing of the coach seats. I am talking about the issue with flight times and stopovers. Remember when was the last time you had a flight to any destination? I absolutely agree with all the security standards, however the fact is that the runway is overcrowded and most of the flights are over-booked. This heats up arrivals and departures. This is why you believe while you have got excellent cheap air flight tickets, you have absolutely only bought a load of hassles. What happened to old times of taking flight and really arriving punctual as scheduled?
